Hi everyone,
Thank you for getting in touch about this and sorry for the trouble you're having here.
Unfortunately we had to perform some essential maintenance that heavily affected the RSS feed service. As a result, we had to disable this feature for all tracks until the maintenance was complete.
We had hoped this work would have been finished earlier but there were unexpected issues that delayed this.
The good news is that we are now deploying the fix that should return everything back to normal for you. The fix will be rolled out gradually so you may need to bear with us for the time being until the rollout completes. This could still take some time as we don't want to rush things and cause any more issues. Therefore I'd recommend waiting at least 24 hours for the fix to be deployed fully.
After that time - the best thing you can do is refresh your feed with iTunes in order to make sure they're pulling all the correct information.
What you'll need to do is login with your account used to submit the podcast to iTunes' Podcasts Connect portal they offer: http://podcastsconnect.apple.com/ and click your podcast to see details, then click “Refresh”. This triggers the iTunes Store to re-check your feed.
In case we do encounter any more unexpected issues - you can check back for updates on our status blog page here: http://status.soundcloud.com/
Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. I hope you know that we wouldn't have performed this maintenance work unless it had been completely necessary.
Thanks for your patience and all the best
Mathis

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Soundcloud download MP3 from RSS feed not working.
I have a RSS feed enabled for my podcast on soundcloud. The feed address is [http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:76350597/sounds.rss][1]
It works with no problem on podcast client apps. However, i usually provide a link for people to directly download the MP3 files from their browser.
So if my track is [https://soundcloud.com/bschumor/bsc177-seja-pessego-saude-cosmeticos-higiene-b-podcast][2] then my RSS feed throws me the following link:
http://feeds.soundcloud.com/stream/177753992-bschumor-bsc108-ate-que-eu-tentei-podcast.mp3
Usually clicking on it would have the browser playing it or downloading (depending on the browser) and right-clicking and "Saving as..." would allow a download. On mobile it would play directly, no soundcloud widget or app required.
For couple weeks at least, this is not working anymore. Clicking on such link would redirect people to a **feeds-tmp** domain, in this case
http://feeds-tmp.soundcloud.com/stream/177753992-bschumor-bsc108-ate-que-eu-tentei-podcast.mp3 and nothing happens.
Does anyone knows how to get a direct link to the MP3? Has soundcloud deactivated this on purpose?
Also, it would be key to have an option that wouldn't require fixing all these links one by one

Having issues with iTunes saying the entire Zeus Pod podcast feed is 'temporarily unavailable' - uploaded a new episode today and it seems to now affect all 40 eps. All episodes on Macbook just have the spinning wheel when you click to play.
Help!

podcast plays nicely from SoundCloud, but not from Downcast, iTunes and other podcast-apps. Something wrong with the RSS-feed? Look like this started on the 30th of April.

"Can’t download episodes from your feed." -is the message I am getting when I tried to validate my podcast. I have no idea how to fix this. My image is fine and the episode is enabled.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled 403 Forbidden Error on RSS-Feed Track-Download.
iTunes Delivery was working fine until yesterday. Now iTunes can not download any Tracks. It seems to be a Soundcloud-Issue though because I also get a "403 - Request forbidden by administrative rules"-Error when trying to access any Track directly through the RSS-Feed. I did not touch any Settings, only uploaded two new tracks - but it affects all the old tracks as well.
Any idea what this could be?

Ever since Monday, April 25th, I have received the following error message --
"Authorization is needed to access "http://feeds.soundcloud.com/stream/261547244-glennbeck-beck-blitz-the-boehnertrump-cheetohs-challeng...; ((just to name one)).
Why is this happening? And it has only happened since the first episode on April 25, 2016.

I have had a Soundcloud hosted podcast appear on iTunes and the Podcast app since 2012. Today all of a sudden, the listed episodes are called "Unavailable."
People can not hear them. What is happening?

Hello, I've been trying to upload a podcast for that past couple hours. I made my image 1400 x 1400 and still get this message? "Can’t download episodes from your feed. Podcast artwork must be between 1400 x 1400 and 3000 x 3000 pixels, JPG or PNG, in RGB color space, and hosted on a server that allows HTTP head requests. " Can anyone help me?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled iTunes Connect says, "Can’t download episodes from your feed.".
I'm trying to create a new podcast and have made a sound that I already had on my Soundcloud account into a test episode. I've changed the permissions to make it public, downloadable and part of the RSS feed. When I validate the feed in iTunes Connect, the episode description appears at the bottom of the page correctly, but it still says "Can’t download episodes from your feed." I'm not using any stat service.
Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? Help would be appreciated. :)

Hi
I've been having difficulty this morning getting iTunes Connect to Validate my feed. I've tried all of the suggestions and have made sure all my Artwork is set up correctly (I think), I've even deleted and re-uploaded the episode.
The Episode is showing up in iTunes Connect but can't be downloaded.
When I check the feed on https://validator.w3.org/feed/ it says the feed is Validated.
Just a note, if you paste the feed into a browser and locate the mp3 link, following this link returns the error message:
403 Forbidden
Request forbidden by administrative rules.
Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Many thanks :)

The feed I am using is as follows:
http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:163875700/sounds.rss
I have double checked my image sizes, when uploading they are 1400 x 1400 px - but appear smaller in the feed code? How can I stop this compression, as perhaps this is the problem?

Everything has been smooth sailing since we started podcasting on Soundcloud, until today. We released our latest episode, and while it plays just fine on Soundcloud, something seems to be wrong with the RSS feed.
http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:201102490/sounds.rss
Listeners who are on Pocket Casts get this message; "Unable to download from podcast author. Reason: forbidden." iTunes users get this message: "Episode Unavailable: this episode is temporarily unavailable from Radio Room." We get similar messages from other services. We validated the feed, double checked our permissions and everything in our settings, and everything seems like it should be okay, but nobody is currently able to download.

I am trying to get my podcast on to iTunes and found my RSS feed, made sure my podcasts were apart of it, but now iTunes is saying they can't download episodes from my feed. I scoured the iTunes help forums and someone seems to believe that it may be in some way related to something going on at soundcloud or I just have no idea what I am doing. Either is completely possible so any help would be fantastic thanks!

I receive "Error 403" whenever I try to play or download an episode of the "Guys We F****d" podcast via my podcast app. I contacted the app developer and he informed me that it had nothing to do with the app but actually with the hosting services of the podcast's platform which in this case is Soundcloud.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue. iTunes was working fine until I uploaded my file yesterday. Now none of my podcasts work. All of my files are mp3, and I don't think uploading one file would mess up the rest of my episodes

Hi
I've been trying to get my podcast on Itunes form SoundCloud, and it is driving me crazy, when I tried to validate my RSS feed I keep getting this message "Can’t download episodes from your feed."
I don't know what can be the problem, I tried making my episodes downloadable and then no downloadable and neither worked. This is my RSS feed: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:221945739/sounds.rss
Please help, my head is about to explode in frustration.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled My podcast episodes suddenly "temporarily unavailable" in iTunes.
I've had my podcast hosted on soundcloud for over a year, with the RSS feeding into stitcher and itunes as well, with no problems. As of yesterday, when I posted the newest episode, it shows up in the itunes feed but is saying "episode temporarily unavailable," and is now like that for all episodes.
I looked at our stats and it appears to have been going on since Saturday, two days ago. I checked our RSS feed and it hasn't changed. It's probably worth mentioning that I raised the bitrate quality of the episodes about a month ago, but the feed still won't let people download old episodes that were as low as 128 kbps.
Can anyone help?

Hello, my podcast was syncing perfectly with iTunes, but since setting my latest episode live on Soundcloud, none of my podcasts are not longer available for download (in iTunes). I've attached a screen shot to show that while all podcasts can be viewed, they cannot be downloaded. An exclamation mark in a circle appears next to the name of the word 'Episode'.
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot?
Also- is there a way to embed the SounCloud player for LinkedIn posts?
Thanks!
